Located on a promontory on the north-western coast of Sardinia, overlooking the Gulf of Asinara, Porto Torres is one of the main Sardinian ports and has been a holiday destination since the Roman empire. The city is filled with beauty, given by nature and history, but it is also located in an extremely strategic geographic position, which makes it the most important part of breathtaking itineraries.
By ferry, it is possible to go to the dreamy Asinara Island, where nature is still unspoilt thanks to the century-long isolation that made it a piece of heritage of inestimable value.
Going west, it is possible to enjoy the beauty of the well-known “Pelosa” beach, the beach of Stintino (30km from Porto Torres), or visit Alghero (37km from Porto Torres) and its Riviera del Corallo (Coral Coast).
Going east, taking a panoramic road made up of flat rocks, cliffs, pinewoods and long beaches, it is possible to visit Castelsardo and keep going until the granite rocks of Santa Teresa di Gallura, easily accessible by car or with the daily excursions.
